I agree and went through the same thought process. Sometimes treatment decisions need to be made by family members or the Courts when an individual is unable to advocate for themselves.

I was really surprised by my reactions to this article. My first response was that this is horrible and must be stopped. It's obviously a human rights violation, get me a protest sign; I gotta march. But, then when my mind calmed down, I started thinking 'what if this was a family member'? What if one of my sisters was so depressed that she no longer wanted to live? I have to admit, I would be pushing for treatment, ANY treatment that would help her.

In NLP Class 2 we discussed perceptions and how we derive meaning from our perceptions and beliefs. Do determine how we assign meaning to perceptions we want to slow down our processes and examine them closely so be more conscious of our choices.

We also learned about and practiced working with eye accessing cues and sub-modalities. Where do your eyes go when you are trying to remember something or when you are making up a story? Within the next couple days I will post a video of the lecture portion of the class.

Next week we will be learning about Anchoring (pg. 122) and the Meta-Model (pg. 126).

Please post any comments or thoughts about the class, questions, or how you have used what you have learned in your work.
